A Tribute to Janis: Alstromeria - Open Alkyd 14” x 18”
Note cards available: 5” x 7” Giclee Prints available (limited edition) Image size: 11” x 23 ¼”
This image, along with “Blind,” “Closed” and “Secret” is a set of four images of the Alstromeria, or “Peruvian Lily.” I named these images after a theory used at a counseling center in Minneapolis, a tool they call the “Joe-Harry” window. Basically, these flowers are named after aspects of ourselves and how we present ourselves to the world. For example, there are parts of us that are very open, other aspects that are closed, etc.
